Richard Angino

Owner and Managing Member

Since the late 1980’s, Richard has been involved in all aspects of the acquisition, development, asset management, underwriting, closing, portfolio management, syndication, and investor sales of workforce housing and historic tax credit properties.

In 2004, Richard moved over to the development side of the tax credit multi-family business.  He has specialized on the development of apartment complexes within the south-eastern part of the United States.  The developments have focused on both the construction of new garden-style apartments and the adaptive reuse of historic buildings into loft apartments.

before and after 2Richard formed Third Wave Housing in 2006 and has been operating it on a full time basis since 2011 after being the President of the Landmark Group in Winston Salem, NC. Doing business as Third Wave Housing, Richard has pulled together a diverse, talented team of individuals and companies to make the developments happen.

Prior to moving to the development side of the multi-family housing business in 2004, Richard ran Midland Equity Corporation and held various senior officer positions with several real estate investment firms with the specialization on the acquisition and development of multi-family properties.

Wil Warren

Wil Warren and Richard Angino have been creating innovative communities together since 2011 when they worked together at the Landmark Group where he was Development Director. Wil and Richard formed Third Wave World to continue their partnership together.

During his time at Landmark, Wil drove multiple, successful multifamily developments spanning the southeastern United States from the predevelopment process all the way through construction into property management. These properties consisted of both new construction and adaptive reuse of historic buildings.

Wil’s prior career involved a variety of roles using his engineering and development skills.  These included his role as project manager with Crowder Construction Company where he coordinated all the moving parts with construction projects from estimating, design-build, contract negotiation, scheduling, cost analysis, resource allocation, risk management, and ensuring that projects were completed on time and under budget. Wil worked on the Raleigh Convention Center and North Carolina’s first Landfill Gas to Energy Plant in Durham.

Wil holds a B.A. in Construction Engineering and Management from North Carolina State University.  Wil has also obtained his Professional Engineer license.

In 2015, Wil launched Blanket Creek LLC where he continues to use his skillset which includes development and construction management as well as owner representative work related to the Brownfields program.
